Massachusetts Performance Excellence Award
Applying for the Award
The Massachusetts Performance Excellence Award process is a non-competitive process, eligible to any organization, whether it be manufacturing, services, education, government, healthcare, or a not-for-profit. Awardees are selected by the Panel of Judges based upon information provided by the Board of Examiners.

Benefits of Applying for the Award.
- Provides encouragement and recognition for organizations that strive for performance excellence and competitive advantage. The highest level Award is named in honor of world renowned quality expert and Massachusetts native Armand V. Feigenbaum.
- It is administered by MassExcellence and is awarded only to those organizations which can be singled out as role models for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- It is based on the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Progam Criteria for Performance Excellence. The Criteria are designed to help organizations use and aligned approach to organizational and performance management that results in:
- Delivery of ever-improving value to customers, contributing to marketplace success.
- Improvement of overall organizational effectiveness and capabilities.
- Organizational and personal learning.

- Internal Analysis - The data gathering and analysis need to write the application provide your organization with an insightful self-assessment.

Award Recipients embody a strong committment to, and implementation of, Performance Excellence, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. The Award formally recognizes their leadership. Award Recepients are featured as role models at the Annual Recognition and Sharing Conference.

MassExcellence also recognizes Massachusetts organizations that demonstrate excellence in one or more of the criteria categories.
