MassExcellence Examiners assess organizations seeking the Massachusetts Performance Excellence Award and the Committment to Excellence Award. Before joining an Examiner Team, each examiner receives extensive training in the Performance Excellence Criteria from world class experts in the criteria. The training centers uses the same case studies as the national Baldrige examiner training program, and features small group exercises taht foster teamwork and networking.

All new and returning Examiners are required to attend the appropriate workshops
Examiner Training Dates for 2008-2009 Assessments
The deadline for new examiner applications is September 1st.
- One day workshop for new and returning examiners: December 2008
- One half-day workshop for Team Leaders and Mentors: December 2008
- Three-day consensus meeting for ALL examiners: February 2009
Cost:
- Returning Examiners who have participated with MassExcellence within the last three years - $250
- Individual and Corporate Members, discounts or free seats depending on level of membership
- Others: $395
